The theme of this international conference is “New Technology, Creating the Future”, which will be from Japan Adhesive Industry Association (JAIA), Korea Adhesive Industry Association (KAIA), Taiwan Synthetic Resin Adhesive Industry Association (TSRAIA), China Adhesives and Adhesives. There are about 70 domestic and foreign reports from the Association of Adhesive Tape Industry (CATIA), the American Adhesives and Sealants Committee (ASC), and the European Association of Adhesives and Sealants Manufacturers (FEICA). The conference will showcase the most cutting-edge technological breakthroughs, application research, application trends, situation analysis and market forecasting for adhesives and adhesive tapes in adhesives, pressure sensitive rubber products, raw material suppliers and academic research institutions. We are optimistic that the number of delegates will exceed one thousand for the first time and will create a new record for the number of delegates since the Asian Adhesives Conference.
 
North American Adhesive Industry Overview
 In 2017, the market for adhesives and sealants in North America was 18.4 billion pounds (or 8.346 million tons), and the consumption exceeded 10.3 billion pounds (equivalent to 4.672 million tons). The compound annual growth rate is expected to be around 3% from 2017 to 2020. . North America mainly includes the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Among them, the United States has the largest share of adhesives and sealants in North America, with an approximate market share of 82%, total consumption of 8.4 billion pounds (3.81 million tons); Canadian adhesives and sealants account for 11% of the entire North American region. The share, consumption is 1.1 billion pounds (equivalent to 499,000 tons); Mexico's share is close to 7%, consumption is 737 million pounds (equivalent to 334,000 tons).
In 2017, the US adhesive market reached 7.8 billion pounds and sales were $12.94 billion. Among them, paper products and related products have the largest market share in the total amount of adhesives, accounting for 48%; transportation segment market share ranked second, with a share of 18%; construction market segment usage ranks in the total adhesive usage. Not high, but sales can account for 25% of the total adhesive application. It is estimated that by 2020, the US adhesive market will reach 8.4 billion pounds (dry calculation), and sales can reach $13.9 billion.
Throughout the North American segment of adhesives, the three segments of paper processing and related products, transportation, and construction accounted for 75% of the total adhesive market demand. Paper processing and related products are the largest market segment, accounting for 44%, with a compound growth rate of 2.7% from 2017 to 2020; transportation is the second largest market segment, accounting for 22%, compound annual growth rate. It is 3%; the third is the construction market, accounting for 10%, with a compound annual growth rate of 4%.

Founded in 1958, the American Adhesives and Sealants Committee (ASC) is a North American industry association dedicated to the adhesives and sealants industry. Currently with seven employees, it is located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
ASC is unique in that it represents the entire supply chain of adhesives and sealants manufacturers, raw materials and equipment distributors, representing almost 60% of the US industry, with business distribution around the world.
ASC's mission is to provide vocational education, employee development, innovative collaboration, community knowledge sharing, and unifying the voice of the industry. Work with companies to advance the application of adhesives and sealants to strengthen the business of their member companies.
